Dear Joyce and the whole Monticello Team, Marketing
Sometimes it’s not easy to describe something with words but nevertheless I will try it. The VERO Event yesterday was very professional organized, the atmosphere was amazing, the idea and decoration was fantastic and the spirit of the VERO Event was extraordinary. We have had several events during the last years around the world but this was the best one! Therefore we would like to thank you and the whole team for all the efforts who have been necessary to make this happen. We will never forget the wonderful evening. Please pass our best wishes to the whole family and we are looking forward to come back again!

Manmohan Sharma, Director of International Club Development, ClubCorp
Director of Member/Public Relations, The Tower Club Singapore (managed then by ClubCorp of America)
“Joyce worked with me at The Tower Club Singapore from year 2000--2003. I was the General Manager of the Tower Club which was managed by ClubCorp USA at that time. I found Joyce to be a thorough professional who took pride in her job. Joyce did an excellent job with member relations, marketing and communications. She was responsible for publishing the monthly club magazine and did an excellent job with the graphics and produced an excellent piece of publication. She organized various high profile events at the club which added value to the club and its membership. Joyce also organized our annual golf tournament and accompanied the golf team to Pinehurst North Carolina for three years. I highly recommend Joyce in her chosen field of work and she would be an asset to any organization."
Chua Tiang Hee, Vice President, Singapore Island Country Club
" I would like to commend her in the achievements she managed in the short 6 months at the Singapore Island Country Club... Some of the key deliverables were the members feedback channel which enabled responses to concerns raised by the general membership in an appropriate and timely manner. Joyce also marketed term memberships and relooked the terms and conditions and enabled publicity on both which generated many enquiries and sales.
The monthly islander was given a fresh new look and content generated good reviews from SICC members.
During her term, the annual SICC May Day Charity Open was a key event in its 39th year. She managed the groundwork of all publicity materials online and in print and helped achieved 50% of the $750 000 target in less than a month after its soft launch.
Joyce also made progress in placing the website in phase 2 for a full content management system to be realised in 4 months and enabled effective e- communications such as digitising the islander. She was also involved in the re-designs of the staff uniforms and worked with the vendor to secure the new look. Joyce left of her own accord and I would readily commend her as a true professional to any employer."

Benson T S Puah,
Director & Group General Manager, Eaton Hotels International Ltd
Public Relations Manager, Eaton Hotel
"It is my pleasure to offer a testimonial to Joyce Tan, the Public Relations Manager of Eaton Hotel, Hong Kong from 24 September 1990 till the present time. In view of my impending relocation to Singapore, I feel obliged to put on record, my appreciation of Joyce's positive contribution to the company.
Joyce took over at a critical time of the Hotel's opening, when public relations activities were at its peak. The previous Department Head, due to ill health, departed rather suddenly, leaving Joyce with a host of uncompleted projects. In spite of this, she managed, in a very short time, to produce tangible results, laying down the foundation for a smooth working relationship between her department and the rest of the Hotel.
More importantly, I had full confidence in her to consistently produce a standard of work that was in keeping with the high levels I expected. She possesses a fine sense of humour and a disarming charm that always leaves an indelible imprint. Her professionalism is of the highest order. With her numerous strong qualities, Joyce is certainly, in my opinion, a cut above her peers.
It has been a privilege for me to have Joyce on my management team. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and will readily commend her to any future employer."
Sonnie T W Lien, Director & General Manager,
Mandarin Singapore International Hotels P/L
Manager, Marina Leisure Centre, Marina Mandarin Singapore
“Miss Joyce Tan joined Mandarin Singapore as a Management Trainee in August 1984, for duration of one year. During this period, she went through an intensive executive training programme which covered all facets of hotel operations. Upon completion of the executive training programme, she was posted to the Public Relations Department of Marina Mandarin Singapore, to assist in the pre-opening set up of the Public Relations department. Six months after her assignment, she was appointed to the position of Assistant Manager of the Marina Leisure Centre, responsible for the promotion and membership drive of the Club.
In August 1988, she was promoted to the position of Manager in the same department. Miss Tan left us to pursue her personal interest in December 1988.
As an employee, Miss Tan had shown much interest in discharging her responsibilities. She is an individual with many talents and unusual positive characteristics.
I wish her well in her future endeavour."
